Everything I Did at Lunchtime was a children's book for 5 - 7 year olds created in response to the Batsford Fun and Play Children's Illustration competition brief in 2025. The story was about a child who looks sad but is actually having a lot of fun in their imagination.
The aim of the story was to encourage children to use their imagination to play as this skill is frequently dulled by schooling, but is one of the best ways to have fun.  The message of the narrative shows how you don't need to have lots of fun to have friends, but if you are yourself, the right friends will come.
